Frequently asked questions
Booking
How do I book a flight with Karibu Trips?
-
Search on our Flights page, choose a fare, enter each traveller's name exactly as in their passport, and pay. Your e-ticket is sent by email and WhatsApp once the airline confirms.
Can I book for someone else?
-
Yes. Enter the traveller's details as in their passport, and your own contact details for the booking.
How do I track my booking?
-
Use "Track a booking" with your reference (starting KT) and your email, or sign in to your account to see everything in one place.
Can you plan a custom trip?
-
Yes. Use the quote form — honeymoons, Umrah, school trips, family reunions and business travel. A planner replies with an itemised quote, usually within one working day.
Payments
How can I pay?
-
Depending on your country: MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money (Cameroon), cards, PayPal and bank transfer. M-Pesa and other mobile money networks are being added.
Are there hidden fees?
-
No. The price you see is the total. For visas we show the government fee and our service fee separately.
Will I get a receipt?
-
Yes. A receipt is emailed when the payment is confirmed, and you can download invoices and receipts from your booking page.
Which currency will I pay in?
-
Your country's currency. Mobile money in Cameroon is charged in XAF, and PayPal is charged in US dollars — the checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.
Visas
Can you guarantee my visa?
-
No — and nobody honestly can. Only the embassy or immigration service decides. We make sure your application is complete and correct, which is the best way to avoid delays and refusals.
How long does a visa take?
-
It depends on the country: e-visas such as the UAE usually take 3 to 5 working days; the UK and Schengen often take 3 weeks or more. Each visa page shows the usual time.
Do I need to send my original passport?
-
For e-visas, no — a clear scan is enough. For some embassy visas your passport is needed; we explain exactly when and how.
Is my passport scan safe with you?
-
Your documents are stored privately, outside the public website, and can only be opened by you and our visa team.

How do I report a mistake in an article?
-
Use the contact form, giving the address of the article and the specific error. An editor checks the claim against the original sourcing and answers within two working days, whether or not we agree with you.
Changes and refunds
Can I change or cancel my booking?
-
Usually, yes. Flights follow the airline's fare rules shown before you book; tours and visas follow our refund policy. Contact us with your reference.
What if my visa is refused?
-
Government fees are not refundable, as the authorities keep them. We will explain the reasons given and help you decide whether to reapply.
Using our work
Can I republish an article?
-
Quoting and linking need no permission at all. Republishing a full article, translating it, or using it to train a model does — ask through the contact form and say what you have in mind. The answer is often yes.
